Glasgow Taxis turn fun into funds at annual family day
Glasgow Taxis Ltd hosted a family fun day at its Boden St base on Sunday 3rd July for drivers and their families where youngsters and parents alike enjoyed a host of games, musical performances and culinary delights provided by city businesses. A number of fundraising activities also ran throughout the day for the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, CHAS and The Beatson, with more than £2,000 being raised.
Commenting on the day, a spokesperson for the executive committee of Glasgow Taxis Ltd, said: “Last year’s inaugural family fun day was a brilliant occasion for everyone involved and we’d like to thank staff, members and drivers for again supporting the event and attending with their families. We are very grateful to partner organisations such as Knock Castle in Crieff, and Porrelli in Paisley, as well as a number of Glasgow businesses for their help making the 2016 event another great success. A special thanks must also go to 52nd Lowland, 6th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (6 SCOTS) for their ongoing support.”
