Taxi fares: our price promise
Taxi fares in Glasgow are set for all licensed taxis by Glasgow City Council, and those are the taxi prices we charge.
All our vehicles have taxi meters which have been checked by Glasgow City Council and found to be accurate. The taxi meter will display the current taxi tariff.
As part of our taxi prices promise to you we also promise our drivers will use the shortest route to destinations, unless instructed otherwise by you.
And if you are disabled, our taxi drivers will give you assistance, but won’t make any additional charge because you have a wheelchair – or if you require a guide dog. Our taxi fares are the same for everyone.
Fares travelling beyond the city boundaries are not regulated and can be negotiated. At Glasgow Taxis Ltd, for phone bookings only, we will take you up to eight miles from the city centre at the standard fare. To all other destinations we can arrange an agreed price prior to setting out on the journey.
