Notice to Drivers – Thefts from Taxis
Greater Glasgow Divisions has noted an increase in break-ins to taxis recently, most of these incidents have occurred to taxis that have left floats and sat navs in situe overnight. From a crime prevention point of view we actively encourage drivers to remove any or all valuables from vehicles when they are parked overnight or for long durations, this includes sat-navs and monetary floats. Leaving money within a vehicle may have insurance implications with losses being upheld by the victim if theft occurs, this is dependent on insurance policies. Please download the below leaflet and circulate this to your drivers and inform them of this crime trend so that they can take action to help prevent further incidents from occurring.
