This week saw the 76th annual Glasgow Taxi Outing fund trip to Troon which Glasgow Taxis was, as always, very proud to support.

We were equally proud of the 100 or so Glasgow Taxi drivers who gave up a whole day to make this special event happen.

The city’s slogan is People Make Glasgow and nobody demonstrates this more than our drivers on this special day – salt of the earth doesn’t cover it.

So many other people make the day what it is too so, in no particular order, huge thanks to the Glasgow Taxi Outing Fund, to all the volunteers, the many entertainers including George Bowie, to Celtic FC Foundation, Laurie Ross Insurance, Butchershop Bar & Grill and Girvans of Troon.

Most of all, thanks to the teachers, parents, guardians, friends, family and especially the children from all the city’s schools who are the essence of the trip. We hope you enjoyed the day every bit as much as we did.

It was another day to fill the hearts – and we are already looking forward to #taxistoTroon 77, see you there.
